Music mania
Published by Jen Star on August 26, 2005 at 10:44 p.m.I went a little crazy with the music tonight. I acquired several new albums from such groups as: British Sea Power, Broken Social Scene, Cerys Matthews, The Dandy Warhols, Death Cab for Cutie (I keep trying), Girls in Hawaii, Goldfrapp, Havergal, Mark Lanegan, Mull Historical Society, Noir Desir (they're French!), The Raveonettes, Sons and Daughters, and my new favourite artist, Sufjan Stevens. I heard Sufjan on a colleague's iTunes (have I told this story already?) and knew I had to have them. And now I do. Dreamy!
I'll report back on the rest. So far, I'm adoring Girls in Hawaii, Goldfrapp and Noir Desir, remembering why I loved Screaming Trees back in my grunge days thanks to Mark Lanegan, and wondering just how well the Amazon.ca reccommendations know me with The Raveonettes, a band it said I'd love.
