Beware: Spoilers ahead
Published by Jen Star on July 11, 2005 at 8:14 p.m.I used to be such a spoiler whore. I’ve gotten much better about it in the last couple years, but the cliffhanger on Veronica Mars has me gagging for details. Finally today I found a somewhat dodgy spoiler on Neptunesite. Read itif you dareand come back for the following e-mail response from Elena and myself:

I win! I win! (If this is real, of course. I wonder about the 09er thing. Shouldn't Logan be ostracized?)

Veronica is nuts to trust Logan, he definitely has some truth issues.

I'd rather Logan went all wild after learning the truth. Y'know, psychotic! Then V would have to save him. Ooh, maybe V and D would have to work together to save him, and realize they still love each other. I'm so a Duncan-girl now.

It's gonna be all Logan until he screws it up, and Duncan will be there to pick up the pieces. It's just too soon for her to go back to Duncan since until five minutes ago, he thought he was lusting after his sister.

You do have a point, I guess it'd be weird to have them together already. Plus, a little more time exploring V&L wouldn't be too bad either. A little Logan & Duncan at odds would be nice too, especially if they fight and break windows a la Bridget Jones. All sweaty and bloody.
Yum!
Think it was L at V's door then?

There is no doubt in my mind. None. And this is not like when I thought V's mom killed Lilly. This time I mean it.

I have no idea who is at the door. I suppose the only exciting turn would be for it to be Logan. If it's Wallace, boring "Hey, just heard, you okay", if it's Duncan, it's just strange "So, you're not my sister huh? wink, wink" (I may want that, but it isn't very likely). I guess Weevil might be interesting enough, as a Logan lead-in.
I'll have to agree you're right. It just makes sense. Anyone else would really be a waste of airtime, a lull in the premiere.

And, remember that interview with Rob Thomas. He said it was either Duncan or Logan, because "anyone else would be a cop-out." (I'll put the actual quote in when I'm posting on the blog.)[“ I feel like our audience will feel cheated if it's anyone other than Logan or Duncan.” Whatevs, I was close.]
It was at this point, the conversation veered off to Bono’s blowhard ways and Elena’s “god-given right to believe old men should totally have affairs with young girls.” It’s probably better if we leave it at this.

Also, the premiere. Where do we come in? Where we left off or will the “Logan at the door” moment be a flashback . . . Hmmm.
And I SO don't think the sarcastic tone of the "god given right" came through strongly enough. Don't want your dear readers to think your friend is a raving religious fanatic after all! I feel I should also clarify the reference to “young girl”, which of course means past the age of consent. Wouldn’t want your readers to think I’m a pedophile either
And, isn't the age of consent 14 in Canada? I'm just saying. . . .
